It’s always good to learn about the people behind the business – even if it’s just to understand who you’re talking to on the phone or dealing with in the factory. We strongly believe that a business is only as good as the people within it.

A capable and constantly growing team that offers a wide and sometimes interesting collection of skills (not all in use at Colt Precision), we introduce each member to you. Many contribute decades of engineering experience to our business. And a great deal of specialist knowledge to help this proactive precision engineering business go from strength to strength.

"Marathon Cyclist"

With 20 years’ experience in the medical and aerospace precision engineering sector, Simon can offer tremendous knowledge and first class project management skills. A keen triathlete, Simon competes in Ironman events and has completed trans Scotland and Raid Pyrenean cycle events, always training hard throughout the year. Simon also likes nothing better than spending time with his family.

"Car Encyclopedia"

A Chartered Mechanical Engineer for 22 years, Nick brings much experience and knowledge to Colt Precision including 20 years’ automotive experience at senior level with Nissan and GM in manufacturing engineering, product development and operations management, plus experience in the manufacture of aerospace components and medical instruments. Nick is a self-confessed car “nerd”, always ready with a seemingly insignificant car fact. He also loves a family dog walk and supporting his son’s competitive sailing.

Lorraine Tarrant

Lorraine Tarrant

General Manager

"Runner"

With a background in banking and 20 years of finance and management experience, Lorraine joined the team at Colt to support with Finance and HR initially, progressing to the role of General Manager in 2022

Lorraine loves to run and take part in races for fun, locally and further afield, her favourite being the champagne run in France. 

When not doing this, she can usually be found running around after her teenage boys!

Sedef joined Colt Precision Limited in July 2021 She originally trained as a chemical engineer and now has more than 15 years experience in the workplace having worked for various manufacturing companies. 

Her career and experience to date has been in quality, health & safety and environmental departments.   

Away from the workplace Sedef has a keen interest in practising yoga and believes it helps bring together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful mindset. She loves practicing yoga at every possible opportunity.

 
Davide Banelli

Setter Operator

Davide has joined the Colt team in 2021 as a highly experienced Setter Operator, bringing lots of knowledge with him from Italy.

Away from work he loves spending time with his young family and has interests in music, motorsports, technology, and good food.

Jack Burroughs

Apprentice

Jack has joined Colt Precision as our apprentice, whilst he completes his Level 2 Engineering apprenticeship at college.

He’s a happy member of the team and when not at work, Jack keeps up to date with the football season on TV.

Owen Davis

Owen Davis

CNC Setter / Operator

Flexible and adaptable Owen joined the Colt team with an abundance of skills from different industries quickly transferring them to Engineering.  Owen is a great team player especially when it comes to providing the team with biscuits and cakes. 

Owen continues being hands on at the weekend and can often be found doing DIY, working on his car or converting a campervan or two with his trusted companion Sian the golden labrador by his side.

Luke is an experienced CNC Programmer bringing knowledge and skills from his previous roles at the university of Birmingham and Aston university. He is a great mentor for our Trainees and Apprentices. Outside work he loves DIY and spending time with his young family.

Max is a level 3 apprentice at GET and in his spare time he is a keen boxer and also enjoys mountain biking on the weekend.

Dave joins our team with a wealth of engineering experience, specialising in medical instrumentation and assemblies. in his spare time he likes to travel, especially on cruises.
