To help with treating, cleaning, and coating stainless steel we recently purchased a passivation line to reduce the chemical reactivity of the material surface.

This ensures that the parts we manufacture meet the high standard of treatment required by the medical, aerospace, and defence industries.

Passivation is a widely-used metal finishing process to prevent corrosion. In stainless steel, the passivation process uses nitric acid or citric acid to remove free iron from the surface. The chemical treatment leads to a protective oxide layer that is less likely to chemically react with air and cause corrosion.

Our passivation line is set up and approved to ASTM A967 standard

If this is a process that we can help you with please contact us with your enquiry.
